IPhone+/2018 Honda CRV issues

Have had the this car for five days. The sales rep set up all IPhone connections and it worked just fine for three days. Yesterday, Pandora froze and beeped loudly every time I touched the screen. Today, it didn't connect at all despite the fact that the phone connected. Additionally, the Phone did not appear on the screen when plugged into USB port. Dealer claims that this brand new car is only compatible with a six year-old IPhone 5! Blamed the entire problem on Apple and said "sometime it will work, sometimes it won't." GRRRRRR!

Unfortunately, I've seen that the iPhone and the Honda CRVs have been notoriously problematic. Honda likes to blame Apple, however it is up to the vehicle manufacturer to support the latest iOS on the devices. They receive the software well in advance to ensure the capability and it is up to them to inform their customers if the vehicles are compatible with the latest phones and operating systems. Honda does not seem to like to do that. The best you can try and do is to remove the vehicle listing from the phone and the phone listing from the vehicle. Turn off Bluetooth on the phone and reset all Network Settings. Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. After that, turn on the vehicle and put it into discovery/pairing mode. Then turn on Bluetooth on the iPhone and attempt to pair them. If they won't pair, then go back to Honda and complain.
