MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) - Technical Specifications

It appears that the computer you are looking at does not have the original memory installed. When you upgrade make sure you use the correct memory. Check OWC for the correct memory. RAM Memory Upgrades for MacBook Pro 2012 - 2015 from OWC

Yes im aware of that, but the one thing that confuses me is the text in memory tab: "this mac accepts 1067 memory module". Is it possible that inserting lower speed memory auto changed that text as mac itself reads the speed of memory?

I havent tried it in my mid-2012 myself, but I tried all sorts of combinations in my 2007 MacBook, which was spec’ed for DDR2-667. I had pulled some DDR2-533 modules from another computer and played around with it in my MacBook. I could mix and match it with another DDR2-667 module. The system would work at the speed of the slowest module, but it would work. Intel chipsets can do it just fine, but I dont know about the MBPs with Nvidia chipsets.

I don’t know about it saying that, since it should say it accepts “1600 MHz” like it does on mine.
