Can I use an Iphone 6s unlocked by Sprint on an ATT network? When I put an ATT sim in I get "no Service".

Can I use an Iphone 6S unlocked by CREDO (Sprint) on an ATT network? When I add an ATT SIM card to the Iphone I get a "No Service" message. How can I change this Iphone to accept an ATT SIM?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.2

Unless you are getting the traditional "Sim Not Supported" message the iPhone is not locked.

When an iPhone is locked, that's the only message you will get.

If you are not getting that error message and just see the "No Service" legend at the top left corner, then the iPhone is unlocked, and has successfully accepted the sim. Whether it can then connect to the AT&T service is a different question altogether.

Does this sim work in another iPhone?

Has AT&T verified service is correctly set up on that sim for use on an iPhone?

While the iphone 6s is a dual CDMA/GSM radio phone, it must be formally unlocked through Sprint to use it on another carriers GSM network.

CREDO is NOT Sprint though - they are an MVNO who leases access to Sprint's network. So you either need to contact CREDO and formally request an unlock, then process it according to Apple's instrustions - How to unlock your iPhone for use with a different carrier - Apple Support

See CREDO's policy and instructions on unlocking devices - http://www.credomobile.com/support/CREDO-questions.aspx

as someone who works in the wireless world, when you say unlocked you mean they put the codes in to have your phone totally unlocked from sprint as a carrier to be able to use on a different network like AT&T or just that its paid off so you are basically free to then do with the device what ever you'd like? I have seen folks use their Sprint iPhone on other networks like AT&T or even T-Mobile both of which are GSM, but the phones had to be totally unlocked via Sprint. Now its quite possible that the model # of the iPhone your trying to use isn't support on AT&T's network hence the reason you are having that no service issue and that's something I would ask them about.
