Reset iCloud Music Library

Hello All, I have had this issue for more then a year and can’t seem to get a fix for it so I figured I through it go the experts... if your up for the challenge. I have a Apple Music subscription and I use iCloud music library as is required and I have 5 device’s signed in. I used a iPod a few times to play music a my brothers party’s and my Apple Music subscription was used for the music. He likes country music and so that’s what was played at the party’s. These party’s last a few hours so i would guess about 500 played songs of country music in a continued loop a few times. Now with the music app expanding into curated music playlist I would like to use them if I could. But no matter what I do the “favorite’s playlist” only has country music in it. Or I’ll ask Siri to play music and what do I get, country music. I listen to more main stream hip-hop and pop yet I’d didn’t think I like that music. How do I reset my iCloud music Library? How can I clear play history? How can I get away from this music nightmare? I would love an answer! PLEASE HELP I know I’m not alone!

Hello, 9to5Apple!

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I see from your post that your Apple Music account has been playing a lot of country music for you since using it at a party to play that kind of music. I definitely understand wanting your account to play you the type of music you love, and I'm happy to help!

Thanks for getting back to us with more information, 9to5Apple!

The screenshots you provided are very helpful. The Favorites Mix playlist updates every Tuesday. I suggest that you try manually playing artists you love until then, and make sure to tap "Love" for the songs you really like to hear. Check your Favorites Mix again on Tuesday, and see if it more accurately reflects your actual musical tastes.

Let us know what happens!

Thanks for the reply. I have seen this article before and I have ajusted my music genre’s as well as added my type of artist to the artist list. My follow up question’s would be can I remove genre’s and artist that I don’t like? Also I would like to I guess narrow in a little more on what I’d like to see change. A great example is the Favorite’s Mix playlist that is auto generated by Apple Music, Can I inflance that in a way that makes it only my liked music? I have gone through that playlist on multiple occasions and “disliked” the conurry Music in there but it still ether stays or is replaced by more county music. From what I understand that’s where Siri pulls the “play” song from of witch is never Music I like. I have added some pictures for more info.
