Freezing sending a photo text

Sending a photo via a text it will freeze as soon as I tap one of my contacts. It locks for almost a minute. Touching cancel, closing it out does nothing. Turn off on off etc does nothing. Reset does nothing.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I'm understanding you're having some trouble sending a picture via Messages. When you try, the iPhone becomes unresponsive. I'm happy to help!

I see you've already tried some troubleshooting, which include force closing the app and restarting the iPhone. These are great steps to take! Since you're still having trouble, I would next recommend reinstalling your iOS software using the "Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again" section of If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support . Even though this step doesn't remove data from your phone, I still encourage you to create a current backup before beginning, just in case: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support .
