How can I disable Secure Input when it is 'stuck'?

Keyboard Maestro now displays a caution triangle with a "Secure Input Is Enabled" message. Until last week it was running fine. Now I believe it is 'stuck' thinking it is in a password field. How can I clear this out?

I have restarted many times, including trashing and restoring the KM plist file. Still no luck.

I'm not sure it will help in this situation, but try running this program in your normal user account, then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. On the screen with Options, please open Options and check the bottom 2 boxes before running. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy Report” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.

In that case, I think your first thought may be correct - something is open waiting for a password that never was entered for some reason. I've had that happen to me in past versions of KBM, Safari, and others. The current version seems OK. Do you use a utility like TextExpander? If so then it may be the culprit. Also, what happens if you just restart the computer? Have you asked KBM support about it? Are you using the latest version of KBM or have a KBM macro running that might require a password?

Nope - I don't use TextExpander (tho' the nice folks at Smile are emailing me back on this issue). And, yes, also the forum for KBM.

I have not only restarted my Mini, I have updated to OS (from El C. to High Sierra). The issue with KBM not executing anything continues.

At this point I'm no longer certain that this is a Secure Input issue. Is there some way I can determine that?
