Setup failed -6722

Unboxed my HomePod, powered it up and heard the chime.

I then eensured two factor authentication, iCloud Keychain and Bluetooth were enabled on my iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 11.2.5. I held my phone near HomePod, tapped setup and after a long wait I get the error “Set-up failed -6722”.

Tried with my iPad and got the same result.

Now what? There’s no support article explaining the message. Not a good first experience.

Hi here is the simple solution. You don’t have to worry about a firewall or anything else. Just go into your Home app on your phone, it’ll probably have a spinning circle like it’s loading.
