I set up my home pod and it is working great. I used my iPhone 8 (everything is up to date). I can't get Homepod to show in my Home app to change any of its settings. It shows as an active device when logged into iCloud and siri on it is working. I deleted it from iCloud and then deleted the app, and re-installed. Shut down and restarted my phone. I feel like I am missing something easy. Thanks for any help.
Thanks for responding. It was not a problem with my network. After contacting Apple they had me reset the Homepod and then start from scratch. That worked. I had done all the resets on my phone but not to the Homepod itself.
Could your network have some kind of client isolation feature enabled?
Does the HomePod show up as an AirPlay target for the iPhone for example?
