Home Screen Timeout

Hello,

I currently have a few 1st gen Ipad Air (A1474) that I'd like to re-purpose for a Kiosk with a few apps that folks who visit me can use while they wait. Thus far I have just used the restrictions setting to prevent unauthorized use of other apps. However, what I have found out over the past few days of trialing out the kiosk is that people tend to leave the kiosk without resetting the ipad back to it's home screen. Put another way, person A uses the kiosk, doesn't hit the home button, and then person B starts to use the kiosk and sees the app that person A was using. This leads person B to believe that there is only one app. Is there any way to have the ipad time out after x minutes of inactivity to go back to the home screen without going through the lock screen?

Thanks in advance,

AIT

R,

Thank you for your message.

I know I can use guided access but my understanding is that this is only for one app. I would like clients to have access to multiple apps - herein is my problem. Suggestions on what to do when you are trying to limit your clients to use 2 or 3 apps? I am currently just using the restrictions tab. Short of coding an app myself I'm dumbfounded.
