Download icon next to albums in Library in iTunes no longer works. Never had this problem before.

Can you be more specific about your problem.
Do you mean that when you select download arrow, the download does not happen? Do you get an error message?
Is the download ar not shown? if so, has the track already been downloaded?

I was transferring music to an iPod. Noticed download icon, discovered quite a few waiting items (may have been from some time ago). They were iCloud downloads, not new purchases
Clicked resume, and all but 3 waiting downloads cleared. Could not clear the 3 (all from 1 album) so I deleted from Library and then re-downloaded it from a cd.
Have logged out of iTunes, restarted iTunes, updated iTunes— and none of it makes the download icon do anything (including does not issue and error message)
