Windows 10 BootCamp - 0xC000001-

Good Evening,

I've let Windows 10 perform an update on Bootcamp, it now displays a blue screen with the above message (Image below)

I've tried booting in to the help menu (F8 on start up) but none of the options help. I think that the MBR is corrupted but I cannot be sure.

My issue seems similar to this post -: Windows 10 Boot Camp Error code 0xc0000001 after unsuccessful partition

Some output from the computer -:

Can anyone help me restore the operation system please? 😢

If you can get to command prompt in the Windows Installer and run

bcdedit

on C:. We need to repair the BCD and test.

I ran BCDEDIT and a few options. Nothing seems to have touched the 0xC0000001 error 😟

Your Partitions, Volumes and Disks look clean. The BCD looks clean and maps to the correct C:.

Are Windows Automatic Updates enabled?

Yes - they are enabled. It was an update that caused this situation in the first place....

To remove the offending driver, you can either use pnputil.exe or DISM. See Windows: how to install driver from recovery command prompt? - Super User for reference.

I'll try those options again - but the start up doesn't seem to get to a point that I can interact with it...

You may need to boot from the external boot device, get to C: and then replace the driver on C:.

Agreed. My issue is finding out which driver is causing a problem though...will try the boot steps again and see.

Replace the Intel GPU driver with the original Bootcamp driver version and test.
