I would suggest that if you are attempting to fast charge the device, which generates heat to start with and you are trying to game at the same time that the processor is working too hard at the same time you are generating heat from fast charging and that is why you are generating excessive heat and slowing the device down. Wait until you are finished charging before you try doing graphics and processor intensive tasks such as gaming.

The problem here is that your phone is getting too warm. It is actually a feature that performance slows when your phone gets warm in order to reduce the amount of heat generated (See the section titled "If your device gets too warm" in Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable operating temperatures - Apple Support).
Do you use a case on your phone? Does your phone get warm while charging if you're not using it?
Antutu and geekbench are third party apps that don't offer any official or Apple verified performance data. Is your iPhone up to date? Are you fast charging using a supported method?
Yes, exactly. I think this is the only way to solve. I m using normal charging now during gaming or using the device. Is a lot better and cooler. For fast charging i will leave it charged until full then only start to use my phone.
Yes, my phone is up to date and now running on ios 11.2.5. Im using a power delivery type c to lightning charger from Energea. It charged 50% of battery in 30 mins and works well. But my phone heat up and started to lag when i using it during plugged in.
Yes, im using a case on it. I tried it with different cases like apple leather case, pitaka, uag and even naked while charging. It will heat up and started to lag. If i leave it charged and it just get a very little warm but started to heat up if i m using it and plugged in to charge at the same time.
