I have a 2015 Mac with 8gigs ram. It significantly slows down. When I go to my Activity monitor to see whats happening, I see my PrinterInstallerClientService has high as 26 Gigs. I shut it down and and the system goes back to normal.
What is causing this bug, I have an HP Officejet Printer at home sharing it on a wired as well as wireless network.
MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9), using shared XP pc printer.
I removed the printer and re installed it and that seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for your help
I deleted the the printer and re-installed it. Maybe that will work, I'll check later.
Did you install any HP software? That may be the cause of your problem. Typically, when installing a printer installing the manufacturers software is not necessary.
I thought I may have done so, but I wasn't able to find any software for the HP. Where would I look deeper for the software?
