Which version of MacOS X are you running? The script does not catch timeout errors, and will have problems, if the library is an iCloud Photo Library on Yosemite or El Capitan. If it is an iCloud Photo Library with optimized Storage it will work better, if you ensure that the photos have already been downloaded from iCloud before you run the script.

Thanks. I'm running High Sierra. And I have "download originals to Mac" checked. I'm not sure how I read your note; should I be turning that off?

"download originals to Mac" is perfect. keep it enabled. But make sure, that the photos have already been downloaded.

If you ctrl-click or right-click one of the albums, select "download originals for this album". This will force the download for that album, if the photos have not yet been synced and downloaded.
