Avdefs group appearing in my MacBook. May I ask advice how to remove it from the system. Thank you.

First, have a backup. Configure and enable Time Machine if there’s no other backups being created. Removing some packages can cause corruptions and errors can delete files that might be valuable, and backups are the way that your data can be recovered. With no backups, thereks either no recovery or no cheap recovery, and there’s no fun if (when?) something goes wrong. Something always goes wrong, eventually.


Once you have backups...


Visit the Symantec.com and Norton.com sites and find the deinstallation instructions for the particular packages that have been installed here.


Though there mght be a more targeted way to do this, probably the following tool will work: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH103489.html
