Final Cut Pro Rendering ERROR - 10004

Lately it seems that every project I do is getting this error:

"Video rendering error: 10004 (Final Cut Pro error 10004: render Video Frame failed"

I have searched and found a couple options to help, but they are literally taking HOURS to track down where the bad frame is.

My question is: is there any way to see where FCPX failed? I think in previous errors, it used to show "@ frame xxxx" but now all I get is the generic error.

Is there a fail log anywhere?

Any suggestions to speed this up would be welcome BIG TIME as well 🙂

Thanks!

The bad frame is likely the very first frame of one of your imported clips. You can easily find it by jumping through your project using the ' key and when you hit one that displays black, cut that frame out.

I have this problem occasionally when importing AVCHD video (like one clip in ten) but do not get it at all when I set my camera to MP4.
