How do I get my photos back from the cloud after I delete them off my phone to free up space? When I trash a photo it says photo will be removed from I cloud library on all my devices. Does that mean they are gone for good? i really don't want all my pictures to be on all my devices so how do I handle that?

After making sure you have full size photos on the device you want to delete photos from, go to Settings/Your Name/iCloud and turn off Photos syncing. If asked if you want to keep your data, chose to keep it. You can then delete photos off the device without deleting them from iCloud.
