Dead pixel problem

Hi guys! I have an old iPod touch (4th generation). There is a big blob of dead pixel on my screen. Initially there were very few scattered dead pixels but now it has turned into a big circular blob of dead pixels. The touch interface is working fine. But things written on/near the dead pixels zone is not visible. I tried using JScreenFix- Pixel repair site but it was not useful. How do fix it? Please help!!!

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.6

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the dead pixels are probably the digitizer (the graphic’s card) going bad.

on the upside you got years of enjoyment out of your device. and if you get a new one it will be able to run iOS11, which will open up a lot of new apps you can try since the 4th gen maxed out with iOS6 and there probably isn’t much in the app store you could get for it anymore

THere is probably no way to do it beyond tossing more money at a device that may simply be reaching the end of its life. iPod 4th generations are several years old and even idevices have a life span. I would keep it backed up so you don’t lose any data.

We don’t really specialize in DIY fixes here and i’m not sure if an apple store would handle a 4th gen ipod. even if they did, your money may be better spent going towards a newer one than working on an older one.
