Contacts app does not display card information

Running 21" iMac (late 2009) High Sierra 10.13.3 Having problems with "Contacts" app. Shows list of contacts but does not show any cards or any card information

Contacts crashes when I create a new card I am trying to create a new card in Contacts, on my Macbook Pro. Each time, after one or two entries, the new card disappears and I am back where I started. This has just started happening after the latest MacOs upgrade.

I am running 10.13.6 and suddenly my Contacts App does not work. It says "No Card" when I click on a contact. Can you please fix this bug in next update of High Sierra.
