Macbook pro - audio cuts out with Hdmi

I have the MacBook Pro 13', 2017 and have recently purchased a 3rd party USB C to Hdmi cable so I can connect it to my tv. However, I have one slight issue which keeps bugging me: every 15 seconds or so, the audio cuts out for a second or two and then is fine again. Is there something I can do to fix this or should I just return the cable and buy a new one from somewhere else. Because when I connect my Windows Laptop via normal hdmi to hdmi, the audio is fine.

Thanks.

Hey there, maahirb.
I see that you're having an issue connecting your MacBook Pro to your television using a USB-C to HDMI cable. The sound stops for a period of time, but then the issue resolves. I'd be bothered by this as well, and I'm happy to help.
It might be useful to try that cable with a different Mac (if you have one), or to try a different adapter or cable to connect your MacBook to the TV.
Frequently asked questions about using HDMI with Mac computers has more information about connecting a newer MacBook to a TV:

How do I connect using a Mac without built-in HDMI?

You can connect your Mac to HDMI displays and TVs using adapters:

Take care!
