Logic 10.4 Audio region tempo changes randomly

There's this thing happening since updating to 10.4 that is driving me insane.

Firstly, Smart Tempo and Flex are all off (attached)

When I record an audio region Logic will randomly change the tempo of the region, or to put it better, it starts at the correct tempo and then drifts out of time. Occasionally, after this happens I get an error warning 'One or more regions contain user-edited flex markers (attached). Again... Im not using smart tempo and I'm not using flex.

I wish I could go back to 10.3.whatever. This is causing me a massive waste of time.

Hope someone can help.

The Settings you are posting are regarding Smart Tempo, but you have to check two things:

Flex Enabled:

Enable the Show/Hide Flex Button in the Menu Bar of the Tracks Area to make the FLex controlsvisible on the Track Headers. Now check if you have Flex enabled on that specific Track. If so, turn it off by clicking on the blue Flex Enable Button on the Track Header.

Audio Defaults:

Deselect all Regions in the Workspace and select an Audio Track. The Region Inspector now shows the "Audio Defaults". These are the Parameters that are automatically applied to any newly created Audio Region. Make sure that there are no specific values set that you don't want.

Hope that helps

Hey EdgarRothermich, Thanks for your advice.

The blue Flex Enabled button was actually enabled on certain tracks, including the vocal track I was having problems with. I've never had a need to use Flex on any of these tracks so I have no idea why it was enabled and as I mentioned, before I upgraded to 10.4 this had never happened.

I'll give this a go and see if it resolves what was happening.

Thanks again.
