'CRenderBuffer attempting to be constructed with NULL pointer' error in Compressor
Hi,
I am trying to make a video from an image sequence with the images being rather large (6000x4000 in my particular case). I figured going straight through Compressor is faster than opening a project in Final Cut.
The first time I started the job, it seemed to run just fine. I turned out though that except for the first two frames of the video, everything turned out black. When I try to run the job again, I get the following error message after just over 20 seconds:
3x CRenderBuffer::CRenderBuffer attempting to be constructed with NULL pointer
I tried changing the output format, but that did not help. Changing the file format of the input images (I have tried jpg, tiff and raw so far) does not help either. I have also managed to recreate the exact same effects on a different Mac (2014 iMac and 2016 MacBook Pro). Using smaller (4k) sized input images solves the problem sometimes, I think on shorter videos, but I have yet to verify that.
Has anyone experienced and maybe even solved this before? I am thinking this must be a bug in Compressor, but it is quite annoying because all the work arounds are rather inefficient.
I'm running Compressor 4.4 on macOS 10.13.3.
Thanks a lot!
Compressor, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)
