Wacom Cintiq 1200w mac os el capitan

Hello,

I am literally going crazy trying to use a Wacom tablet, model cintiq 1200w, on my mac book pro mid 2014 running mac os El Capitan 10.11.6. I have tried installing the latest wacom drivers, and many other many previous versions, going from WacomTablet_6.3.27-2, WacomTablet_6.3.15-3 to PenTablet_5.2.6-5, and nothing makes the tablet work. I have also bought different mini display ports, so that I could try connecting it through dvi and vga. Still nothing. The only thing I get from the tablet, once I connect it and turn it on, is a message of Going to Sleep on its screen. When I click on Wacom Utilities on my computer, I get a message saying there´s no wacom device installed in the system, even if I have installed the drivers before doing it.

I really don´t have an answer for this. Are they really not compatible with each other, my mac book pro and the wacom tablet?

Sorry for the long message, any suggestion will be very much appreciated.

They told me to install the latest drivers, which I did, but it failed. I then installed previous versions, and nothing. So they told me to contact Apple support, because they thought the problem may be with the way I was connecting the tablet and my mac book pro. So I contacted Apple and with their help, I made sure I was using the right mini display port, but guess what, it failed too...
