My eMac is showing a small display image rather than one that is the normal size, and the start up screen is the normal size. I tried changing it in system preferences but there was only one selection. Can anyone help?

Early eMacs had bad IVAD cables that could cause loss of video or a screen image that looked squeezed from the sides. Does the image look deformed or compressed?
Can you take a picture with a phone or other device and post it here so we can see what this looks like?
