My iWatch caused my wrist pain

The watch pulsed and immediately my wrist and hand started hurting like I had a sprained wrist. My wrist is swollen and I cannot use my left hand for anything. I have been taking Aleve for 2 days now. My wrist is still swollen. It hurts to move my fingers. I am afraid to wear my watch! Has anyone else experienced this?

Apple Watch, I have a blister!

Hi

If you experience redness, swelling, itchiness or any other irritation, discomfort or pain around or beneath your Apple Watch (not iWatch) or band, then Apple recommends that you remove your watch and consult a doctor / physician before wearing it again.

More information and related tips from Apple:

If you are concerned that your Apple Watch and/or band may have a hardware defect, then I suggest that you contact Apple Support (remote diagnostics and/or mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider for assistance:

This is my second Apple Watch. The first one burnt my wrist, left a blister. I’ve had this one for 2 years. It’s a stainless steel, version 1. I am positive it’s the watch causing my wrist issue. The watch pulsed several times and then my pain started. My wrist is swollen and this is Day 3. There is nothing I did to cause this. The watch band was not too tight. I could slip my finger under the band. I will not be wearing it again.

Thanks for the response.

You're welcome! 🙂

Whether or not you wish to consult a doctor is, of course, entirely up to you, but I would respectfully suggest that you reconsider doing so.
