Live Photo in Slide Show

Hello!

I found a quick way to show Live Photos in Apples Slideshow. (Normally the Slide Show does only show the .pic not the .mov)

1. Find the .mov in finder (right click on photo)

2. Duplicate the .mov file

3. Import the copy .mov

4. Drag it into the SlideShow

5. Don´t get too angry with moving the new imported .mov in the right order again (if you have many pics/vids in your slide show) 😉

Thats why I don´t use the Library of Photos.

So you are using iPhoto?

You may want to send feedback to Apple that Live Photos would be more fun, if we could use them in slideshows.

I am also reverting to adding the video components of the Live Photos in a slideshow by exporting then Live Photo and then reimporting the video component, after renaming it.

The video component usually needs stabilization applied in iMovie, before it can be used in a slideshow. Live Photos will play more stable while they are still Live Photos.
