How to change family plan organizer when your spouse dies
I had AT&T shut down the phone number for my wife who passed away but now I cannot change anything for our family plan because she was the organizer and I cannot get passed the two factor authorization which requires her phone number. It will not let me change device or use email address which I have access to. This stinks.
I spoke to a few "geniuses" at Apple whose reply was to get a court order to change it. That's very expensive and takes up to 12 weeks!!!
AT&T should tell those grieving about this important matter since they work with Apple so closely
Most people do not think of this when in mourning.
Any ideas?
I'm trying to get AT&T to reactive her old number for a day so I can do what I need to do which is make me the family organizer. Apple needs to let partners change that info without needing a court order or the phone number!
