They missed Good Friday. Not only a catholic holiday but also a fed holiday. The other? Well they appear to be other religions? Why?
Why? Because there are Americans (US Citizens) who practice other religions and celebrate their own holidays. All of the religions whose holidays are represented in the US Holiday calendar by members of Congress, BTW.
However, it's very strange. Good Friday appears in the US Holidays calendar on my phone. The date is March 30. And it is certainly NOT a Federal holiday. Here is a list of Federal holidays: 2018 Federal Holiday Calendar | National Holidays | 2019 Federal Holidays. Do you see Good Friday on it?
Note also that there is no such thing as a "national holiday" as Congress does not have the authority to designate holidays except for government employees. States and businesses are not required to observe holidays that apply to Federal employees, and many don't. When was the last time stores were closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day? George Washington's Birthday? Memorial Day? Labor Day? Columbus Day? Veteran's Day? Even Thanksgiving day in recent years?
This is also stated at the top of the page in the link, quoted here:
There are ten annual U.S. federal holidays on the calendar designated by the United States Congress1 Unlike many other countries, there are no ‘national holidays’ in the United States because Congress only has constitutional authority to create holidays for federal institutions. Most federal holidays are also observered as state holidays.
I think we pay enough for these phones and should be able to only have the holidays we want without a hassle.
You can. It's been explained over and over in this thread how to do it. You might want to read the thread. It can be quite enlightening.
