I am getting popups from Advanced Mac Cleaner. Is this a reputable/trusted source?
Nothing claiming to clean your Mac is to be trusted. Some of those utilities have taken on malware level reputations on the forums. I don't know about that particular one but those utilities are products in search of a problem. The operating system has plenty of cleaning features built in that run behind the scenes. If there is an issue then there are utilities that can be run when there is a specific need that target a specific problem.
