I need to burn cd from my playlist but I get message that says "Disc Burner or Software not found" . But this is a new laptop. It recognizes the audio cd's I put in but not the blank ones that are brand new. I ran a diagnostics from ITunes and this is what it said:

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. If I understand your post, you have a new Windows PC and are trying to create and burn a music CD using iTunes. However, when you try, you receive an error that states "Disc Burner or Software not found". I'd be happy to help.

There are a number of reasons why you may be receiving that error message. iTunes for Windows: If you have trouble burning a disc reviews several possible scenarios and solutions for them. Specific to the error you receive, I would focus on the following information from that article:

Use Windows Update to make sure you have the latest Service Pack for your computer installed.

Check your computer or drive manufacturer’s site for firmware updates, and install any that are appropriate for your computer and CD or DVD drive.

Even if your computer is new, make sure you have the latest drivers for your video and sound cards and other peripherals. Check the manufacturers’ sites for updates.

Try using a different brand of media or a different type of disc (for example, CD-RW instead of CD-R).

Try choosing a lower burn speed.
