AirPort Extreme bridge mode on MacOS X v10.13.3

Airport Utility tells me my new/old Airport Extreme has a Double NAT setup, and needs to be switched to Bridge Mode. The only useful(?) information I can find online seems to relate to very old OS versions.

Someone please tell my how to switch to bridge mode. Thanks.

Airport Utility 6.3.7 I have been using Airport Utility v5.5.1 for the Mac. That version will no longer run on my new Mac running OS X 10.12.5. I now have to use Airport Utility v6.3.7. It lacks much of the functionality of the older utility. It is much harder for me to fix problems on the network. Is there any way to get the functionally and flexibility of options that existed with the older version on my newer Mac (can I press some key combination in v6.3.7 to gain more functionality)? If not, is there another more advanced Apple router utility that I can use to to regain the control I had with the older version? NB

extending ASUS wifi network with Airport Extreme My setup is as follows (not shown are multiple wireless clients connecting to both the ASUS router and the Airport Extreme):I am trying to make sure I have the AE in "bridge mode" so that I am not getting the dreaded "double NAT" situation. And that wireless clients connect to the router that's in the same room, for optimal wifi performance.If I go to Airport Utility (6.3.8) and "edit" the AE, and click on the Network tab, I see that Router Mode is "Off, Bridge Mode", so I believe I have managed that correctly. My question: how can I verify that I do not have double-NAT (or does what I just reported insure that's the case) ? And, how can I verify that my wireless clients are indeed connecting to the router that's in the same room ? On my Macbook, I know to option-click on the wifi icon, and it gives me a bunch of info about my wireless connection, for example that I'm connected to a 5GHz radio and the channel number; but how do I tell WHICH actual piece of wireless hardware my Macbook is communicating with ?

Airport Utility does not see AirPort Extreme connected to Verizon router I am trying to set up an AirPort Extreme ME18LL/A on my wireless home LAN in bridge mode, connected directly to Verizon router. I am working from my High Sierra '09 Mac Pro 5,1, which is connected to my LAN via ethernet to router. Airport Utility can't see the AirPort Extreme from. Do I need to reset the AirPort Extreme, which was pre-owned? IS there a default IP I can use to access?

Open AirPort Utility on your Mac (Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility)

Click on the picture of the AirPort Extreme

Click Edit in the smaller window that appears

Click the Network tab at the top of the next window

Change the setting for Router Mode from DHCP and NAT to "Off (Bridge Mode)"

Click Update at the lower right of the window and give the AirPort a full minute to restart
