I can’t get HomePod to work on iPad, won’t appear in Home App, but it does work properly on iPhone

HomePod works fine on my iPhone but not on my iPad. On iPad, the Home App

wont recognize Homepod as favorite accessory. Both iPhone and iPad are on same network, both on iCloud, and have latest IOS update. Thanks. Have tried multiple

solutions, resetting app and HomePod, iCloud reset, all without success.
