Question: MacOS High Sierra installed but not working

Hello,

I installed MacOS High Sierra on my iMac computer about a month ago, and since then a number of websites (of particular importance is my business's accounting site, Xero) have said "We don't support your browser Safari 9.1.3. Please update to a newer version or use a supported browser so Xero works correctly." However, when I go to update, it says I have already installed the newest version. How do I reinstall or update so I can get into the Xero dashboard.

Also, I have tried to update an Adobe program, and it is saying the update server is not responding?

Thank you,

Sarah

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), null

Apple stopped releasing updates for Mavericks a while ago.

If you want to use the latest version of Safari (11.0.3) you would need to have upgraded your Macs OS to El Capitan or Sierra or the latest High Sierra.Your Mac maybe too old to install Sierra or High Sierra so El Capitan may be your only option have a look at the three links below to see what OS you can and/ or want to upgrade to.

If you do decide to upgrade your Mac then bear in mind you will need to check that any third party apps you use can still be operated in the new OS, check to see if there are updated versions.

Also check with any manufacturers of hardware you use such as printers/ scanners have drivers and software available for the OS you want to install.

Make a full back up of your existing system before upgrading incase you want to go back. Be prepared for some big changes.

macOS High Sierra already includes the latest version of Safari.

Please clarify the macOS version that you have. To determine that, please read How to find the macOS version number on your Mac - Apple Support.
