The SD card from my camera (filled with images) was formatted by the camera as MS-DOS (Fat32) but it won't mount to my new MBP. I've tried Disk Utility to repair and mount but no luck. Any ideas?? Thanks!
Here is the Disk Utility info on the card:
You can try to mount it from Terminal (in Utilities) by using the command diskutil list
to get its path and then
diskutil mount /dev/xxxxx.
Apparently there is a 4gb file size limit for MS DOS Fat on Mac. Find out more here. http://osxdaily.com/2012/04/22/format-drive-mac-pc-compatible/
You may want to back up the photos from the card and reformat it on your Mac as exFat.

What happens if you open the Photos app with the camera connected to your Mac via USB?
You say it's a new MacBook Pro so it won't have an SD slot. The fact that you can get info on it shows the connection through USB seems to be OK.
Did you try Apple Support?

Resetting the System Management Controller worked for someone there with a similar problem.
I'm running OS 10.13.1 High Sierra. No, I don't have a backup of the card. I formatted the card in the camera then shot about 300 pix.
