Hello, I am not being stupid but when trying to delete apps I hold down on the app and it is coming up with all options other than delete how do I get it so there is a small X in the top corner??? It is saying ‘share app’

Read the bit where it talks about accidentally activating share.

When trying to delete apps don’t hold down the app icon too hard. Lightly place your finger upon the app icon and hold until not applying any pressure until a small (X) appears

Are you holding the app down on the home screen? It sounds like you're somewhere else, like the App Store.
