Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

I'm trying to turn on my fingerprint scanner. But when i go to under Settings > General > Passcode "fingerprint" is grayed out and im unable to add it.

Finger print gray out when trying to Enable it

iPhone 5s, iOS 11.1.1

Have you ever had the display and/or home button replaced?

If not, or if it was replaced by Apple, then make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store.


If it was replaced by a 3rd party, Apple won't touch that phone and Touch ID will not work.
