Next Set not working in Mainstage 3

I've setup my concert level the way I want it for the show. For each of my musical numbers I've set up a set with tempo changes in them showing a flashing button on screen so I can see my tempos. The sets do not have any patches in them but I want to switch so I can see my tempos. Beside using my up down arrows on my keyboard I am unable to switch sets via a midi pedal button etc... Even though I have it mapped to a button that says next set. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong? thanks

Next/Previous Set commands are meant to be used in conjunction with a Patch.

They select the first Patch inside the Set so that you are ready to go when performing.

Create a dummy Patch inside every Set and you should be able to view your tempo inside the Patch.
