Text notifications not working on carplay

I recently updated to the newest version of IOS and no longer receive text message notifications through carplay. I have changed USB ports, purchased a new lightening cable from the Apple store and confirmed with my dodge dealer that my uconnect firmware is up to date. This completely defeats the purpose of carplay as I have to pick up my phone to check and see if I received a text. Is anyone else having this issue?

Apple CarPlay will not notify me of incoming text messages No resolution on my other post, so thought I would post yet again. I have a 2019 Volvo S60. Apple CarPlay has never announced incoming messages. I thought maybe it was just the car, so I tried in our 2019 Audi Q5, but it doesn’t announce in there either. I have enabled Notifications > Siri > Announce Notifications: Announce Notifications is enabled, Announce When Connected To CarPlay Messages is enabled, When CarPlay Starts - Announce New Messages is enabled. Scheduled Summary is disabled. Focus > Do Not Disturb is disabled. It’s not making sense, and it isn’t just my car since I have tried both cars. My iPhone 12 Pro is running iOS 15.6 - up to date. I would greatly appreciate some assistance. I drive A-LOT so it would be much more convenient if it announces my text messages. Thank you.

Apple CarPlay When messages are received on the car’s screen, they come up at the bottom of the screen. It’s ok if sound is on on my phone as that alerts me. If there is no sound, I have to see it out of the corner of my eye. This was ok when the message showed across the top of the car screen. Now that it flashes at the bottom of the screen I don’t see it. is it possible to change this option or can Apple change it back to the top of the screen? I can’t find a feedback option to let them know

My iPhone is not getting any text notifications through Bluetooth devices or CarPlay. July 1, 2022 No text messages notifications through Bluetooth devices or CarPlay lately. Both worked earlier. I listen to music through Apple’s music app and to Audible. I’ve tried “soft restart” and deleted all settings and all paired devices and cars from phone and started over with the same problem. I’m running the IPhone 13 pro max with iOS 15.5 [Re-Titled by Moderator]
