Recording light causing clicks with each flash.

When I have any audio track (mics, guitars, synths, whatever) ready to record, the blinking record light is sending alternating 0 and 127 MIDI data to some unknown place. With each flash I hear a click in my monitors and headphones and it's driving me nuts. The clicking doesn't happen when I'm recording, but when I'm practicing for each new take all I can hear is that faint infernal clicking from the recording light! How in the world do I get that to stop?

I'm using Logic Pro X with OS High Sierra 10.13.3

Thanks!

Mac mini (Late 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), null
