The mac pro will get hot and the fan will speed up when i watch the video.
It will slow down the processor.
Why?

Video requires a lot of processing which generates more heat.
In your post you say "Mac Pro" but your profile says MacBook Pro. There's a huge difference between those models so it helps to make sure you say the correct one because amelioration steps will depend upon which model you have.
My is MacBook Pro.
I have been using it for many years. But it started to slow down, fan will be very noisy (high speed) and hot. As it do not happen very often so i just ignore it.
I wonder what happen to my macbook.
Mac Pro or MacBook Pro, one's a desktop and one's a laptop, which one do you actually have?
It's normal on a portable. Is that an H264 file?
