Why did all the music I downloaded from Apple Music randomly delete?

I have the I phone 7 plus and I did not recently update my phone. One day when. I opened up the music app it would not let me listen to music without signing into my account again. After I signed in all the music I downloaded while paying for Apple Music was gone. The playlist I made are still there just all the songs inside are gone. I don’t understand why I pay all this money for Apple Music when all my music just randomly delete anyways.

Hi Sydney,

Have you checked your music and iCloud music library settings, as well as iCloud?

Make sure your device or devices are up to date & iTunes is up to date.

If you sync to other devices or itunes, this may have put this in motion also.

Here's info & links I find helpful in regard to your issue and overall:

If you don't see your content on all of your devices

On the computer that contains your original music library, make sure that you're signed in to iTunes with the Apple ID that you use with Apple Music and have iCloud Music Library turned on. Then, from the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or the top of the iTunes window, choose File > Library > Update iCloud Music Library.

Make sure that that you have the latest version of iOS, macOS, and iTunes on your devices in order to sign in with the Apple ID that you use with Apple Music.
