Morse Code?

iPhone SE Night before last update 11.2.6 was installed during the night. When I turned on my phone the first thing that happened was a Morse Code message came up. Either MKMM, or KMKK. I think it was he former. It went on for a while. Went to messages to see if there was a phone number. Nothing appeared. Went to recent calls, nothing appeared.

Now when I open my phone, it already has one of my apps opened. I can close the app and everything seems to work fine.

Typically in a day I might get a few phone calls, under five minutes and at the end of the day, I'll have used 5% of my battery. Yesterday, a few phone calls of less than 3 minutes. At the end of the day, I had used 60% of my battery!

Phone hacked? Reset the phone? Any ideas what's going on?

Not particularly. Also no idea what that would have to do with morse code.

You may also want to explain this:

Now when I open my phone, it already has one of my apps opened.

Is it the same app every time? If an app was open when the phone was last locked, that will still be on the screen when you wake it and unlock it...

You can see what's using your battery in Settings>Battery.

When I first opened the phone, I got a sound like a telegraph. Then a balloon, like a comic strip popped up. In the balloon, the first line was the letters MKMM, or KMKK (I think the former). It did it maybe 3 times and then turned off. Yes, it was on the screen. Wasn't showing up as if I had gotten a message. It just appeared. Does that clarify it enough?
