Thanks for the suggestion but it didn't work.
Finally overcame the problem by deleting all Apple software (complete deletion, including registry entries - I used Revo Uninstaller) and re-installing iTunes and iCloud.
Hopefully, it won't re-appear.

Uninstall iCloud for Windows, reboot, reinstall.

Tried that, didn't help. My error is in ***.dll
(For some reason, *** is showing instead of w t f )
Try right-clicking the installer and using run as administrator. It may also help to temporarily disable any real time anti-virus scanner.
