glitch in playback and export

Hello! I am new to using final cut and currently using the trial version. I have a mid 2012 macbook pro with 8 gb of ram and a 2.5 Ghz intel i5. I recently edited a video for a client in the program and I love it! However I am very upset that I am seeing these glitches several times throughout the video. It is VERY noticeable and it is not good. I figured that if I export it, it will go away. It did not. Any ideas? (yes the frame I stopped at makes her face look very strange but that is the glitch)

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

Select the clip with the issue and right click it:

Choose Transcode Media.

Then this box appears, select Create Optimised Media:

This will create a NEW file that is ProRes 422.

The upside is it edits better than AVCHD.

The downside is it uses drive space.

These days most of us have Terrabytes of space on fast external drives, so it's no big issue unless you work on your system drive which is only OK for smallish occasional work.

Recently a few Canon users have had similar issues.

The common denominator appears to be Canon cam, FCP X 10.4 on High Sierra.

Add your voice to FCP X feedback and standby for an update:

yes a canon camcorder was used. However I don't recall it being in the original footage

Okay thank you. I am trying something else I found online currently. I downloaded the footage to my external hardrive first this time to see if it works out better.

What exctly does this mean? I came from premiere and I don't have that much video editing experience in general. Also this magnetic timeline thing seems to be a hassle.
