Emails coming in to Mail in code

Just lately a few emails have been coming in to my inbox on Mail in code. For example:

Content-Type: multipart/ALTERNATIVE;

boundary=--boundary_1307149_103a060b-b2ea-4523-8dcc-c86f3cbc7f39

Content-Transfer-Encoding: QUOTED-PRINTABLE

Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN;

charset=us-ascii

These same emails come in to the inbox on my iPhone completely as they should be. Can someone please tell me what's going on, and how I might go about stopping this? The sender is completely legit.

There are two senders whose emails have this problem - both big companies who are attaching a .pdf with my monthly statement. I don't have a third party app such as an antivirus app. The only things I have like that are CleanMyMac which is an independent app (and I've had it for ages), and a few plugs ins for Chrome. All of these have been fine for years. I think it's only happened since I installed High Sierra, but I can't be sure about that.

Thank you Julieda - now I need to figure out how to "add either plain text or HTML content to your campaign" - can you help me with this too please?

Are you using BenchMark Email? If so you should ask them for support.

I'm using Mail for Mac. And it's incoming emails that are arriving in broken HTML code, not the ones I'm sending that are the problem (as far as I know!).

Are these emails all from a single sender? Do you have some third party app such as an anti virus app scanning your incoming emails? If so uninstall the third party app.

Uninstall CleanMyMac. It is of no value and is wasting system resources. It may also cause problems.

Oh! Okay. Actually there was a new version recently that I installed. Just uninstalled it using it to do it. Oh the irony!
