On iPhone 6S, my volume works on some apps but not on google maps and one or two others. If I am in the car, the radio stops to allow for voice directions and there is a sound, but no voice directions. Any solutions?

Google Maps Audio The audio on my Google Maps app is no longer working on my iPhone. My ringer is on and turned all the way up. I believe it stopped working with the laters IOS update although I had problems with the volume prior to the update. I worked fine sometimes and was only a whisper other times.
