when my iMac is idle but iTunes is running it goes to sleep between songs: how so?

my late 2013 iMac, 10.13.3 installed and everything updated, goes to sleep between songs (either playing my personal library or Apple Music); as soon as I wake it, correctly resumes from the next song.

I tried deleting com.apple.PowerManagement.plist and reboot, alas to no success.

Power mangement setup as in the screenshot: any ideas?
