Safari tabs highlighting when reloading/reloaded?

Thanks, I'll try in safe mode and the second admin account. I ran the Etrecheck anyway (to test and see what it did exactly) and it says it found hardware issues? I've been experiencing random restarts (mostly when putting the MBP in sleep mode) but Apple thought it was a faulty USB-C to VGA multiport adapter or just an old display (but testing and switching displays & adapters seems to point to one of two adapters, but I'm not sure yet which one), so I'm waiting on a replacement. But the 'hardware failure' warning makes me wonder.. I'll post the data anyway, maybe you can see something on it. During the test the safari tab colors were normal. I think the discoloration has something to do with the tab being reloaded when you click on it? If you click on it, the website reloads and the coloration of that particular tab returns to default/normal.

no, that's the normal view. My tabs are lighter than those highlighted, and multiple are. See here, these are the 3 different shades of grey that I have:

I've tested it for a while, and haven't had the issue since I disabled the Pinterest extension. Safe to say that's the culprit for me 🙂
