Safari tabs turning gray suddenly

I have been using my MacBook Pro 13" with TouchID for a long time and quite often I caught into a problem while using Safari. While streaming a movie from a streaming service and switching to another tab, the first tab turns completely gray and the extensions become deactivated suddenly. This is particularly annoying and reloading the tab doesn't help, I have to completely close the tab and open the link again to continue streaming. Also, one odd thing is the audio keeps working even though the tab becomes gray. The most commonly used streaming services I use are Openload.co and Gorillavid.in

I speculate that this behavior is caused by some sort of a memory leak or other malfunction in the Safari memory handling.

Thank you in advance!

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Also try the Safe Mode.

Safe Mode - About El Capitan
also Sierra

Safe Mode Startup – El Capitan. also Sierra

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.

Etrecheck – System Information

Mar 5, 2018 7:43 AM in response to Eric Root

Hello Eric,

I decided to completely reinstall the operating system because it was slowing down. I deleted the partition with Partition Manager and reinstalled the macOS. Immediately after completion I started using Safari without installing any third party applications. And the major problem got WORSE as now when the problem appears I have to quit Safari completely. The tabs become completely inactive and stop working, although all other functions seem to work. This seems to only happen after I have watched the show half way through.

Thanks in advance
