How to open a .gif file on a Mac

I have downloaded some pics from my tumblr account, so I can view them on my computer but I'm not getting the option to play the file. Could you help with how to play the file?

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, 2 TBT3), macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

How to use webp image files in FCP? I received a FCP library that includes some images with the .webp extension. Apparently it's a Google image format. They show as Missing Plugin when selected in the browser or timeline. The producer who worked on the library doesn't know/remember how he's able to use them on his machine. Is there a FCP plugin or is webp enabled at the MacOS level? I found a GitHub project that enables Preview to show webp files. Is this what's needed? Any advice? Thanks, Terry

iMovie help I am trying to edit video clips in iMovie and then save it to my computer(MAC). However, when I try to export the clip as a file its no where to be found on my computer other than in iMovie as a saved project. Where is my file being sent to if I can't find it in my Photos app? Even when I use the Finder app on my MAC its not showing anywhere.

Preview: to save from .DNG directly in .JPEG Hi to all. I have a Macbook Pro with Catalina 10.15.6. If I open, in Preview, a photo in .DNG and I modify it, when I try to save appears the sentence "The file xxx.DNG does not support the modification" (in Italian language the sentence is: Il file xxx.DNG non supporta la modifica). I would like to save the file from .DNG in .JPEG but I can only save it in .TIFF. How can I do to save, in preview, from DNG in JPEG ? Thanks to all. Franco

FWIW, most animated gifs will play in the Finder or in QuickLook by selecting the file and pressing the "Space" key. Not all will however for a reason I've never figured out.

It should open with Preview. If it is an animated GIF try dragging it to a web browser window,
